February is Always Cold!

2/4/2019 (Permalink)

February is statistically the coldest month of the year. There are chances of freezing temperatures, snow, and ice, which increase the chances of pipes bursting inside homes and businesses. There are many different ways that you can keep your home safe from this type of disaster.

  1. Make sure your pipes have been wrapped properly, inside and outside
  2. Make sure you have a small drip coming out of different faucets in your home. This will help keep the pipes “warm”
  3. Keep your thermostat set at 73?or above when you are at home, and at at least 55?when the home is vacant.
  4. Open up your cabinets/drawers to allow heat to get to the pipes so they don’t freeze
